SSC MTS 2021 Notification

Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC) has released SSC MTS 2021 Official Notification on 5th February 2021. The MTS examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Paper-I) and a Descriptive Paper (Paper-II).

SSC MTS 2021 Exam Dates

The exam date for SSC MTS 2021 exam has been released along with its notification. SSC MTS 2021 Paper-I is scheduled to be conducted between 1st July to 20th July 2021. SSC MTS Application Fee

The Application Fee for SSC MTS 2021 is Rs. 100/

Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2021 exam.

SSC MTS Salary: Pay Scale

The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff in Pay Band-1 (Rs 5200-20210) + Grade Pay Rs 1800, (Revised Pay Scale after 7th CPC: Pay Level in Pay Matrix – Level-1), a General Central Service Group „C‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories.

SSC MTS 2021 Recruitment

SSC or Staff Selection Commission conducts Multi-Tasking Staff Exam (MTS) every year in 3 different stages:

  • Paper 1 and
  • Descriptive Test

It is mandatory for the candidate to qualify both these stages of examination in order to make it to the merit list prepared by SSC prepared at the end.

SSC MTS 2021 Exam Pattern

The examination of SSC MTS 2021 will be conducted in 3 different levels: Paer-1, Paper-2 (Descriptive Test) & Paper-3 (Skill Test). Paper-1 is an online exam that is an objective multiple choice question type. Paper-2 is a pen and paper mode of examination that includes a descriptive paper in English or any other language listed in the government policies. Paper-III is a skill test that needs to be taken as per candidate’s convenience.

Note: There will be separate category-wise, State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I. As the vacancies for MTS are in two age groups i.e.

(i) 18 to 25 years and

(ii) 18 to 27 years, the Commission may fix separate age group-wise, category-wise and State/ UT-wise cut-offs in Paper-I.

SSC MTS 2021 Eligibility Criteria

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfil in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2021 Exam. Let’s have a look at all these three criteria:

Nationality: A candidate is required to be

  • A citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • Tibetan Refugee
  • Person of Indian Origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Afganistan, Kenya, Tanzania, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam.

Age Limit (as on January 01, 2021): The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:

  1. i) A candidate must be of minimum 18 years of age and must not exceed 25 years of age as on 01.08.2021. (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1996 and not later than 01-01-2003)
  2. ii) 18-27 years as on cut-off date (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1994 and not later than 01-01-2003).

Apart from the pre mentioned Age Requirement, candidates belonging to reserved categories are given age relaxation as per Government Rules.

Educational Qualification: A candidate is required to pass Matriculation or its equivalent Exam from a recognized State Board or University or Institute.

SSC MTS 2021 Exam Centre

SSC conducts SSC MTS Exam every year at various centres all across the country.Candidates are given the option to select the centre of their choice while filling in the application form. The final allotment of the centre by SSC is done based on the choice of the candidate. If in any case there is unavailability of seat in the selected Centre, SSC will change the location as per the availability. Candidates do not hold the authority to question SSC for the same.

SSC MTS Admit Card

SSC MTS Result

The SSC MTS Result will be released by Staff Selection Commission of India after the exam for the different levels have been conducted. Candidates can check their results by clicking on the link mentioned below:

SSC MTS Cut-Off

SSC MTS Cut-off is the minimum score that aspirants taking the exam will have to obtain in order to move to the next stage of the exam. The cutoff will be released twice, first for Paper 1 (Tier-1) and second for Paper 2(Tier-2). Cutoffs are released along with the result declaration.
